Edward J. Lynch

Edward J. Lynch, 56 of 170 East Dewart Street, Shamokin passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence.

Born at the former Ashland State Hospital on March 25, 1964, he was the son of the late Edward and Joan (Joyce) Lynch and the brother of the late Elizabeth Miller.

He was a 1982 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School. After high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Marines from 1982 until 1986.

Ed was of the Catholic faith. He was also a member of the Kulpmont American Legion Post #231

He was an avid sports fan all of his life and also enjoyed his dogs and walking.

Surviving are one sister Helen Deptula of Oley; nieces, Ashley and her husband Kyle Angstadt, Lorin and her husband Tyler Yost, Jessica Deptula and her companion Kyle Miller, Megan Deptula and her companion Garrett Pelko; one nephew, Joshua Miller; cousin Barbara Shunk and her husband David; one brother-in-law, Robert Miller and numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Saturday January 30th, 2021 at St. Mary’s cemetery Beaverdale with the Rev. Francis Karwacki officiating. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc.
