Frank L. Werner, 85 of Roaring Creek Township, Catawissa passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born in Reading on November 9, 1935, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Grace Rose (Patire) Werner.

He attended schools in the Reading School District.

Mr. Werner served his country in the US Navy.

Prior to his retirement in 1997, Frank was employed as a machinist at the Albert Seisler Machine Corporation in Mohnton for thirty-eight years.

On November 26, 1955 in Reading he married the former Marilyn L. Matz who survives.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Catawissa and was a former volunteer member for the Marion Fire Company, Reading. Frank was a life-member of the NRA and a longtime member of the Daniel Boone Rod and Gun Club and the Mohnton Fish and Game Protective Association.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish, especially for turkeys and panfish. He was also a winemaker for over fifty years.

Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-five years, Marilyn L. Werner are his son, Brooke A. Werner of Mohnton; his daughter, Cheryl Lynn Boughter and her husband Steven of Oley; three granddaughters, Danielle Busch and her husband Stephen of Reading, Michelle Werner and her companion Caleb Noll of Oley and Shelby Bartman and her husband Brian of Oley; four great-grandchildren, Chloe and Kara and Sophia and Weston.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his brother, Joseph A. “Buddy” Werner in 1967 and his sister Dawn “Dolly” Ludwig in 2001.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
