Obituary for Helen Anne Konopka
Helen Anne Konopka, 76, of 385 Little Mountain Rd. Ringtown, passed away on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.
Born in Ashland on February 20, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Eva (Walchonski) Wagner.
She was 1958 graduate of the former Catholic High School in Mt. Carmel and then in 1960 graduated from the McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City.
Prior to her retirement, Helen was employed as an accountant/bookkeeper for Wagner Industries, Frackville.
On November 25, 1961 in St. Joseph’s Church, Ashland she married Robert Dale Konopka who preceded her in death on July 15, 2016.
She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Centralia.
Helen was a very loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Abdiroglu and her husband Juma and their children Brandon Abdiroglu and his wife Julie and Colin Abdiroglu and his wife Meggan all of Ringtown and Suzanne Rinker and her husband Anthony and their children Anthony J. Rinker and Ava Rinker all of Elverson; one brother, Kenneth Wagner, Jr. and his wife Dolores of Fountain Springs; nieces and nephews.
Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:00 am in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Centralia. Very Rev. Michael Hutsko will officiate. Interment will follow on the family farm in Ringtown. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of Liturgy in the church.
