Obituary for Jack "Jinxy" Shilpetski
MOUNT CARMEL — John J. "Jack Jinxy" Shilpetski III, 65, of 44 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at his home. He was born on June 20, 1950, in Ashland State Hospital, to the late John J. II and Helen (McDonnell) Shilpetski. Jack was a 1968 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. He was married to Sheryl (Rishel) Shilpetski Sept. 3, 1977, in United Methodist Church, Centralia. Jack was employed at Ashland Foundry and Machine. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Mount Carmel. Jack was a happy go-lucky guy who loved life and was friendly to everyone. He had so many good friends in his life, and he appreciated them all. Along with his wife and children, the main love in his life was music. He was a true bluesman; he loved playing guitar, both solo and as a member of the Cosmic Wheels. He attended many blues festivals every summer. Jack never grew old; he was a kid at heart. May he stay forever young. Jack is survived by his wife, Sheryl; a daughter, Kimber A. Shilpetski, of Houston, Texas; a son, John J. Shilpetski IV, of Mount Carmel; a sister, Bonnie Morgan and wife, Karen, of Barnesville; and nieces and nephews. SHILPETSKI — John J. "Jack Jinxy" Shilpetski, III, 65, of 44 Market St., Mount Carmel. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, at Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Joan A. Brown officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Mount Carmel Area Music Department, 600 W. Fifth St., Mount Carmel, Pa. 17851, or American Heart Association , 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043
