Obituary for James P. Reilley
ARISTES — James P. Reilley, 82, of Aristes, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016 in his home. He was born in Byrnesville Oct. 10, 1933, a son of the late Michael P. Reilley Sr. and the late Elizabeth (Burke) Reilley. He was a graduate of Con-Cen High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. On Nov. 30, 1968 in Centralia, he was married to Doris (Swinehart) Reilley, who survives. James was a retired truck driver. James was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Centralia American Legion Post No. 608. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters, Mary T. Tarlecki, of Aristes, and Elizabeth Birney, of Warrenton, Virginia; a brother, Michael P. Reilley Jr. and wife, Brunina, of Elysburg and sisters-in-laws, Ethel Zamboni, of Ashland, and Alice Spishock and husband, Paul, of Mount Carmel, Rita Reilley,of Aristes and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Patrick and Raymond Reilley, brothers-in-law Robert Tarlecki, Leonard Birney and Robert Swinehart, and sister-in-law Margaret Swinehart. REILLEY — James P. Reilley, 82, of Aristes. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, from Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Everyone is invited to attend the Mass. Burial will take place in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Centralia. There will be no viewing. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 47 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, PA 17851.
