Obituary for John E. Kimsal, Sr.
MOUNT CARMEL — John E. "Tootsie" Kimsal, 74 of Mount Carmel, passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, with his family by his side at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born in Centralia, November 26, 1942, a son of the late John E. and Anna (Lupatsky) Kimsal.
He attended schools in Centralia.
Prior to his retirement, Tootsie was a lifelong self-employed coal hauler owning and operating John Kimsal Coal Sales.
He was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel.
Tootsie was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by a daughter, Tara Kimsal and her fiancé, Dennis Daugherty, of Mount Carmel; a son, John E. Kimsal Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Mount Carmel; a granddaughter, who was the love of his life, Addison Kimsal; a brother, Leonard Kimsal and his wife, Patricia, of Den-Mar Gardens, Kulpmont; his ex-wife, who remained his lifetime friend, Janice Kimsal, of Mount Carmel; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Anne Schott.
KIMSAL — John E. "Tootsie" Kimsal, 74 of Mount Carmel. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor, is in charge of the arrangements.
