Obituary for Joseph F. Pupo
Joseph F. Pupo, 80 of 48 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Specialty Select Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Kaiser on January 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Felix and Julia V. (Bressi) Pupo.
Joe was a 1959 graduate of Catholic High in Mt. Carmel.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Joe was married on August 29, 1964 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church to Jane (Wisdo) Pupo who survives.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal service where he was a postmaster.
Joe was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Knights of Columbus Council # 628 Mt. Carmel, Kulpmont American Legion Post 231 and s member of the former Mt. Carmel Elks Lodge.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Felicia McAndrew of Mt. Carmel and Jessica Pupo of Allentown; two grandchildren, Holly McAndrew and Corey McAndrew; two great grandchildren, Victoria Michelle McAndrew and Lili Ann Campbell; one sister, Elizabeth Hornberger of Mt. Carmel; one brother, Anthony Pupo and his wife Marlyn of State College, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Maria Pupo; four sisters, Theresa Chesney, Carrie Sawicki, Mary Cioffi, Anita Dunn and one brother Frank Pupo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. There will be no visitation. Everyone is invited to meet for Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, 47 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt.
