Obituary for Karen Marie Harris
Karen Marie Harris 61, of Locust Gap, Pa.

Karen, daughter of Joseph and Hope (Klingerman) Kaminski was born in Philadelphia, April 17, 1955.

After a long illness, Karen left peacefully on her journey to the Lord early Monday morning; she was surrounded by her loving family in her parent’s home.

Karen’s strong religious beliefs led to a career as Coordinator of Religious Education at Holy Spirit School and now at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. In addition, she professed her vows to the secular third order of Carmelites and was an altar server for many years.

The world was blessed by Karen’s love for art & creativity. Karen was an artist in many ways: Pencil drawings, word work, embroidering her own designs, cake baking and decorating to just name a few. No craft was too big or too small for Karen to achieve.

Survived by her daughters Kristin Harris of Locust Gap, and April Ibriham of Egypt.
Karen’s love for her 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild gave her the stamina to fight this debilitating lung disease. Surviving grandchildren are Jasmine, Dequawn, Gaige, Sara, Hyacinth, Haydyn, Isabella, Rikki and Cataleya. Surviving siblings are Joe Kaminski of Washington, Deb Rietzen and her husband Dave of Delanco, New Jersey , Anita Wolfgang and her husband Brian of Locust Gap, Renee Draugelis and her husband Joe of West Cameron, and Steve Kaminski and his wife Lori of Locust Gap.

Karen was preceded in death by her sons Ricky and Kenny Harris

Special thanks from the family to Father Frank for being Karen’s friend and mentor.
