Kenneth Lee Short

Kenneth Lee Short, 71 of 232 West Fifth Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Monday August 20th, 2018 at his home.

Born in Millsboro, Delaware on November 18th, 1946 he was a son of the late John and Mildred J. (Moore) Short.

He attended schools in Milsboro, Delaware.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was married in Frackville in 1977 to Theresa (Pedergnana) Short who preceded him in death on September 7, 2014.

Kenneth was a former Little League Baseball Coach and was an avid woodworker. He enjoyed spending time with his family and most of all cherished the time spent with his granddaughter, Alivia Short.

He is survived by three sons, Karl Short of Mt. Carmel, John Short and his fiancé Amanda Miller and Jeff Short all of Mt. Carmel; three grandchildren, Alivia, John Short, Jr. and Skylar Miller; one brother, Richard Short and his wife Ina of Seaford, Delaware.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gregory Short.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township with the Rev. Joan A. Brown officiating.
