Mare F. (Kane) Yeager, 59 of 60 Hickory Lane, Locust Gap went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 14, 2022 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with liver disease.

Born in Ashland on November 19, 1962, she was a daughter of the late Francis Kane and Mary (Barber) O’Neill.

She was a 1980 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School.

Mare devoted herself as a caregiver through home health agencies and more recently was employed as a cook at Pete’s Pizza, Kulpmont until her retirement in 2020.

She was married on November 24, 1990 to the late Rick Yeager who bravely fought glioblastoma brain cancer until his death on March 17, 2020.

Mare was well-known for her selfless nature, compassionate heart, and having never put herself above others.

She took pride in her Irish heritage and Locust Gap roots. Mare enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, watching The Golden Girls, and talking on the phone with her lifelong best friend, Barb Lagerman.
