Obituary for Martha Marie Joan “Marty” Klaus
Martha Marie Joan “Marty” Klaus, 70 of 132 South Vine Street, Mount Carmel passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Danville on December 8, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret M. (McHale) Klaus.
Marty was a 1968 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. She then furthered her studies at the Philadelphia General Hospital School of X-Ray and the University of Southern California School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
She was a retired x-ray/nuclear medicine technician having been employed at Hazleton Imaging Center and Hershey Medical Center.
Marty was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are three brothers, Joseph Klaus of Culver City, CA, Philip Klaus and his wife Donna of State College and James Klaus of Mount Carmel with his companion Sue Fetterman of Catawissa; three sisters, Mary “Madge” Hackworth and her husband James of Sutter Creek, CA, Molly Smith of Austin, TX and Tina Thomas and her husband Bill of Belleville; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kulpmont. Rev. Francis J. Karwacki will officiate. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor has been entrusted with the arrangements.
