Obituary for Mary Scheithauer
Mary Scheithauer of 159 Kansas Lane, Kulpmont passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Philadelphia on December 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Ruth M. (Buggy) McDonnell.
She was married on October 1, 1960 in the former St. Joseph’s Church in Locust Gap to Howard W. Scheithauer who preceded her in death on August 19, 2010.
Mary had worked for many years at the former Kessler’s Jewelers in Mt. Carmel.
She was a member of Holy Angels Church in Kulpmont and the Catholic Daughters of America. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always involved in her children's and grandchildren’s activities.
Surviving are three daughters, Christina Letcavage and her husband James of Harleysville, Patricia Long and her husband Douglas of Palm Harbor, Florida and Maria Scheithauer with whom she resided; three grandchildren Megan English and her husband Terrell, Philip Letcavage and his fiancé Kelsie Schultz and Noah Letcavage; three great grandchildren, Carter, Kaden, and Bennett English.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Holy Angels Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will be private at Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Holy Angels Church, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, PA 17834 or Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School, 2001 Clinton Avenue, Coal Township, PA 17866.
