Obituary for Michael Stebila
Michael Stebila, 89 of 235 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Sunday, November 7,2021 at Mountain View Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Wilburton on October 14,1932, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Yokolovich) Stebila.
He was a 1950 graduate of Conyngham Township High School.
He served in the United States Army from 1952 until 1955.
Michael was married on June 16,1973 at SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church to Eleanor (Dempsey) Stebila who survives.
He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Knights of Columbus Council #628 and a member of the Fourth Degree. He was a life member of the Wilburton Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael Stebila and his wife Angela of Selinsgrove; two daughters, Michelle Forti and her husband Joseph of Mt. Carmel and Adele Moore; seven grandchildren, Madison, Michael, Matthew and Benjamin Stebila, Hobi and Mallory Forti, and Luke Mattucci; one brother, Joseph Stebila and his wife Kay of Toms River, New Jersey; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jeannie Mattucci and a brother, John Stebila.
Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday November 12,2021 at SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Archpriest Michael Hutsko, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery in Mt. Carmel Township. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Liturgy in the Church. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to SS Peter & Paul Church, 131 North Beech St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market St., Mt.
