Obituary for Nina M. Burge
VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia — Nina M. Burge, 87, of 2408 Townfield Lane, and formerly of Centralia and Kulpmont, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Nursing Home, Virginia Beach.
She was born June 1, 1929, in Centralia, a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Runchock) Panikarchuck.
She was a graduate of Hubert Eicher High School, Centralia, where she was salutatorian.
On April 29, 1950, in St. Ignatius Church, Centralia, she married Robert T. Burge Sr., who preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2007.
Nina and her husband owned and operated the former B&N Beverage in Coal Township until their retirement.
She was a member of Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont.
Nina was a very loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Anne Mach, of Virginia Beach, and Mary Kay Gallagher and her husband, Elwood, of West Cameron; a son, Robert "Bobby" Burge Jr., of Virginia Beach; grandchildren Kevin Troup, Michael J. Pekera and Jennifer Straub; great-grandchildren Rebekah and John Troup; and sister, Tanya Malkoski and her husband, Bernard, of Elysburg.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, John Robert Straub.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S.
