Patricia Ellen Wydra

Patricia Ellen Wydra, age 81 of 2616 Locust Gap Highway Mt. Carmel, PA passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, MD. Born in Locust Gap, PA on September 3, 1934 she was a daughter of the late Robert Hugh and Mary (Kane) O’Neill. She was a 1953 graduate of the former Catholic High in Mt. Carmel, PA. On January 5, 1963 in the former St. Joseph’s Church in Locust Gap, PA she married John F. Wydra who preceded her in death on April 16, 2008. Patricia was a retired bank teller. She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Mt. Carmel, PA and Holy Name of Jesus Church in Harrisburg. She enjoyed many hours doing puzzles. Patricia will always be remembered for being a very spunky lady. Surviving are one daughter, Maria A. Wydra, Ph.D of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Kathleen Kelser of Locust Gap, PA; one sister-in-law, Kitty Tallon of Tower City; twelve nieces, six nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers, Sister Mary Germanus I.H.M., Betty O’Neill, Stella Hollis, Theresa Bucanelli, Nancy O’Neill, James O’Neill, Robert Emmett O’Neil, Hugh O’Neill, Jack O’Neill and Joseph O’Neill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Rev. Francis Karwacki, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Locust Gap, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home 40 South Market Street Mt.
