Amalia-Hope Hinkle

Amalia-Hope “Emme” Hinkle affectionately called “Baby Red” and “My Sunshine”, 27 of 105 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in her home.

Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on December 5, 1996, she was a daughter of Mary Lorraine (Minnig) Hinkle and the late Jonathan Robert Hinkle.

Amalia was a 2015 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School. She was a distinguished honor student and was a member of the Marching Band having played the baritone. She was also in the Who's Who Among American High School Students. Amalia attended Bloomsburg University where she studied social work.

She enjoyed hunting and fishing and reading and was an avid artist.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Mary Lorraine Hinkle of Locust Gap are her two children, Aria-Marie Hinkle and Keanu Ray Kinnaman; a brother, Nathan Hinkle of Mount Carmel; a sister, Annah-Marie Davis and her husband Jon of Ohio; maternal grandmother, Francine Morrison of Mount Carmel; maternal grandfather, John W. Minnig and his companion Dianne of Mount Carmel; two nephews; one niece; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Preceding her in death in addition to her father were her paternal grandparents, Bruce and Bernice Hinkle; her aunt and uncle, Susan and John Chuma and her cousin, Ian Hinkle.

Religious services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. Joan A. Brown, officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervisor. A private visitation will be held on Friday morning from 8:00 am until 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to a public visitation from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home. To offer condolences to Amalia’s family, please sign the guestbook below.
