Ann “Doylie” DeLozier, 91 of Monroe Township, New Jersey, formerly of Locust Gap, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025 at her residence.
She was born in Locust Gap in the same bedroom as her dad on July 1, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Francis Leo and Mary Regina (Mannion) Doyle.
She attended Saint Joseph’s Elementary School in Locust Gap and was a graduate of the former Catholic High in Mt. Carmel.
She retired from MacAndrews and Forbes in Camden, New Jersey.
Ann was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and the former Saint Joseph’s Church, Locust Gap.
When not dancing while visiting her sister in Philadelphia, she was “hitching it” to go skating at the Arena or Knoebels. She treasured the Tastykake that her dad would save for her daily from his lunch when she would meet him coming out of the mines after work.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her brothers, Thomas and Frank Doyle and Joe Halko; sisters, Mary Parker and Florence Katona; her best friends, Philomena “Phyllis” Adams and Joan Simmons; special friends Pete and always awestruck by her dear teacher, Sister Mary Austin.
Surviving are her son, Brian DeLozier of Monroe Township, New Jersey; daughter, Lisa Rosencrans and her husband Rob of Pittston; son, Daniel DeLozier and his wife Sharon of Jesup, Georgia; three grandsons, Evan and Colin both in Georgia and Dylan and his wife Sharmaine in Nevada; and many loving cousins.
