Anne M. Kleman, 84 of 250 Main Street, Locust Gap passed away on Friday, May 21st, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.
Born at the Ashland State Hospital on July 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Dorothy F. (Moore) Kleman.
Anne was a 1954 graduate of the Mt. Carmel Area High School. Thereafter, she entered into nursing training and graduated from the Geisinger School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse.
Anne worked as a nurse and eventually an operating room nurse administrator at the Geisinger Medical Center. Her career extended over 40 years before her retirement. After retirement, Anne worked as a substitute school nurse for the Mt. Carmel Area School District. Anne enjoyed and was proud of her nursing profession.
She was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Parish in Locust Gap and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. Anne enjoyed traveling, dancing, family parties in the backyard on holidays, and attending Mt. Carmel and Penn State football games. Her favorite hobby was family history scrapbooking. Most of all, Anne enjoyed the time she spent with her family and with her three granddaughters.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Kleman and his wife Laurie of Blue Bell and Thomas Kleman of Locust Gap; three granddaughters, Jessica, Jenna and Kelsi Kleman; four siblings, sister Dorothy Ditchey of Harrisburg and her children Diane Pease, Joan Resek and Carl Ditchey, Jr., sister Florence Kelly of Mt. Carmel and her daughter Andrea Herb, sister Mary Jo Zamboni and her husband Robert of Harrisburg and their children Kara Jeffries and Leah Barker, and brother Joseph Kleman and his wife Marie of Locust Gap and their children Jennifer Rodriguez, Jason Kleman, Christina Kleman and Marissa Kleman. Anne is survived by many additional nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beaverdale. A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy or donations in Anne’s name can be made to Our Lady of Mt.
