Anne M. Steffanick

Anne M. Steffanick, 90 of 121 North Peach Street, Mt. Carmel passed away Monday February 18, 2019 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Mt. Carmel on November 14, 1928 daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Zavatski) Rudock.

Anne was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

She was married on June 5, 1948 in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church to Charles Steffanick who preceded her in death in 2006.

Anne was a member of SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel.

Anne was employed early in her life at the General Cigar Factory in Mt. Carmel and then went on to work many years as a seamstress in area garment factories and did alterations for J.C. Penny.

Anne was an avid baker and was in charge of bake sales at SS Peter & Paul’s for many years. She also volunteered with the meals on wheels program.

Surviving are four daughters Eileen Ann Steffanick of Rockville, MD, Diane Tarlecky and her husband John of Mt. Carmel, Anne Marie Yuskoski and her husband Leonard of Atlas and Mary Theresa Steffanick her caregiver with whom she resided; three grandchildren, Adam Yuskoski, Tiffany Yuskoski and Nicholas Steffanick; two brothers, Robert Rudock and his wife Peggy of Mt. Carmel, Ronald Rudock of Mt. Carmel; one sister, Elinor Filohofski of Kulpmont; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Kenneth Rudock.

Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday February 22nd, 2019 at 11:00 am in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mt. Carmel. The Rev. Mykola Ivanov will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township. A Viewing will be held Friday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 North Beech Street, Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S.
