Christine M. Joraskie

Christine M. Joraskie, 76, of Mt. Carmel passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Mountain View Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coal Township.

Born on October 16, 1948 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth May (Rickert) Siano.

Christine was a 1966 graduate of Jonathan Law High School in Milford, Connecticut.

On November 25, 1972 in Milford, CT, she married Francis L. Joraskie who preceded her in death on January 4, 1998.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a secretary for the Church of Our Lady in Mt. Carmel.

Christine was a member of the Church of Our Lady. She was an avid traveler and was always looking forward to her next vacation.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele Strausser and her husband Jason of Wilburton; three grandchildren, Jason, Tallon and Bryn; two great-grandchildren, Ezra and Asher; one brother, Frank Siano, Jr. of Orlando Florida; and two nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Very Rev. Msgr. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township. A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 am until 10:30 am in the church.
