Constance A. “Connie” (Chatkiewicz) Taylor, 73 of Pattersonville, Ringtown formerly of Shenandoah passed away on Friday afternoon, September 25, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Shenandoah on May 28, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Anthony J. Chatkiewicz Sr. and the late Rafael (Disabella) Chatkiewicz.

Connie was a 1971 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School. She also graduated from Empire Beauty School, Pottsville having earned her license as a beautician.

On November 21, 1981 in the former First United Methodist Church, Shenandoah, she married George H. Taylor who survives.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Advanced Dermatology, Pottsville as the medical records supervisor.

Connie was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah. She was an officer of the former ladies auxiliary of the Columbia Hose & Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1, Shenandoah having served as secretary. She was also a former member and officer of the William Penn Softball League Auxiliary and was a former member of the Shenandoah Valley Booster Club.

She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Connie was an avid bingo player and loved spending time in her garden, caring for her beautiful flowers and growing vegetables. She also enjoyed camping and creating special memories with her family and friends.

Affectionately known as “Nonni” to her family, Connie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and “cioce.” Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved most. She especially loved watching her grandchildren and being a part of their lives. Her warmth, love, and devotion to her family truly reflected the person she was. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her three brothers, Leonard, Michael and Bernard Chatkiewicz.

Surviving in addition to her husband of almost forty-five years, George H. Taylor are her children, her son, Ricky Yarnitsky with his wife Heather of Ringtown and her daughter, Mandy Taylor with her partner Joe Alshefski of Shenandoah Heights; her three treasured grandchildren, Chase Snyder and Kadence and Bryden Yarnitsky; brothers and sisters, Tony Chatkiewicz with his wife Mary of Catawissa, Rosie Koch of Shenandoah; Debbie Sosna with her husband Paul of Brandonville, Fritz Chatkiewicz of Shenandoah and Diane Chatkiewicz with her partner Barry Heiser of Mahanoy City; godchildren, aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends and her faithful dog, “Chewy”.

Religious services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals, Inc., 40 North Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. A visitation will be held prior to services on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Joseph J.
