Diane Jarosiewicz

Diane Elizabeth Jarosiewicz passed away surrounded by her beloved daughters on Saturday, October 14, 2023 after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born on November 19, 1959 to the late Sylvia and Joseph Arvay.

Diane graduated from the newly built Mount Carmel Area High School in 1979.

Diane also married the love of her life in 1979, the late Jeffery David Jarosiewicz of Kulpmont who preceded her in death on July 24, 2005.   

In life, Diane was an avid chef and ran a large volume kitchen named Diane’s Kitchen at the Pennsylvania State Shotgunning Association grounds in Elysburg. Her daughters will continue to run the seasonal kitchen in her honor. If she was not running the kitchen or cooking up a storm at home she was spending time with her four grandchildren who really did keep her young. She was deeply invested in her family and cherished having big family gatherings. Prior to this domestic life she and Jeff spent countless hours on their Harley Davidson exploring the country with their many friends.  

Diane is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly Weikel of Mount Carmel, Ashlie Jarosiewicz of Kulpmont, and Sara Jarosiewicz of Montoursville; her grandchildren, Jackson Flick, Ayden, Kaylee, and Makenzie Weikel. She is also survived by three sisters, Sandy Arvay, Donna Damiano, and Rhonda McGinley.

Religious services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Rev. Joshua L. Notestine will officiate.  Interment will follow in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday morning from 8:30 am until 10:00 am.
