Dorothy A. Catizone

Dorothy A. Catizone, 54 of 21 Shamokin Street, Ashland passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Ashland on August 26, 1966 she was a daughter of Edward Rooney of Lavelle and the late Alice (Klingerman) Rooney.

She was a 1984 graduate of North Schuylkill High School, Fountain Springs.

Earlier, Dorothy was employed by Professional School Photographics. She was last employed as a utility worker at the PPL Susquehanna Nuclear Steam Electric Plant, Berwick.
On August 13, 1994 in the former Saint Ignatius Church in Centralia she married Anthony Catizone who survives.

Dorothy was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed photography and gardening and loved animals.

Surviving in addition to her father, Edward Rooney and her husband of twenty-six years, Anthony Catizone are her son, Anthony H. Catizone and his girlfriend Ari of Mount Carmel; her daughter, Alexandra Catizone of Harrisburg; one grandson, Quinn Wyatt Hajdu-Catizone; three brothers, Patrick Rooney of Locust Gap, Kyle Rooney and his wife Lora of Lavelle and Charles Rooney of Hazleton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death in addition to her mother, Alice Rooney was her grandson, Anthony Myles Catizone.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
