Howard Laird, 69 of 801 West Fifth Street, Mount Carmel passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 13, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Philadelphia on December 14, 1956, he was a son of the late Henry W. and Romayne (Menzok) Laird.

He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Howard enjoyed going to flea markets and dining out with his brother, Henry. He was an avid fan of all sports, including college and professional football, baseball and hockey. His favorite pro football team was the Houston Oilers before they moved to Tennessee becoming the Titans.

Surviving are his brother, Henry Laird with Kimberly of Mount Carmel; sister, Romaine Laird with Thomas of Maple Shade, NJ; brother, Martin Laird and his wife Donna of Hatboro; sister, Mary Laird of Kensington, Philadelphia; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of Howard’s family. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J.
