James "Bucky" Miller

James “Bucky” Miller, 77, of 25 South Quince Street, Mt. Carmel passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Mt. Carmel on March 26, 1946, he was the son of the late James and Eva (Wheary) Miller.

He attended Mt. Carmel Schools.

On October 23, 1971 in Mt. Carmel, he married Kathryn (Martin) Miller who survives.

He was a self-employed construction worker all his life.

Bucky was a member the Free and Accepted Masons Cedar Lodge # 378 in Mt. Carmel, a social member of the Mt. Carmel Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 464. He was an avid pool shooter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Eva Lamberson of Sunbury and Jeanine Weaver of Mt. Carmel; four grandchildren, Austin Miller, Alexis Lamberson, and Tyler and Dylan Weaver; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen Schuck, Marie Miller, Betty Fortune, Fay Ahrensfield and Shirley Dubb; one brother, Albert H. “Pea Coal” Miller.

Religious services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
