John T. “Jack” Guise, 78 of Wilburton passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.
Born in Ashland on September 12, 1939 he was a son of the late Charles Guise and Katherine (Else) Kehler.
Jack was an US Army veteran.
He was a self-employed auto body technician.
On August 30, 1957 in the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel he married Carol A. (Malick) Guise who preceded him in death on July 16, 2011.
Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Carmel and was a life member of the Wilburton Fire Company.
Surviving are one daughter, Dianne Boyer and her husband Kenny of Ashland; three sons, Charles Guise, Jacky Guise of Mt. Carmel and Ricky Guise; one sister, Gale Sweda of Mt. Carmel; one brother, Harold “Red” Kehler and his wife Donna of Atlas; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Irvin W. Kehler; his son, Raymond J. Guise; two sisters, Diana Kehler and Kathy Persing; and one brother, Irvin “Gary” Kehler.
Religious services with military honors will be held on Saturday morning, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel. Rev. Kay Painter, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
