Joseph J. Kripplebauer, Jr., 61, of Newark Delaware and formerly of Mt. Carmel passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 in his home.
Born on November 18, 1964 in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Kripplebauer, Sr. and Verna (Ryan) Kripplebauer.
Joseph was a graduate of Newark High School in Delaware.
On May 18, 1986 in Elkton, Maryland he married Judith (Neese) Kripplebauer who preceded him in death in 2024.
He had been employed for many years as a carpenter working on construction.
Joseph was active in his community, volunteering for a host of community events.
He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Fire Police where he served as a Lieutenant, the Clover Hose Company and the Beaverdale Fire Company.
Surviving are one daughter, Candice Galbraith of Annville; one son, Shawn Kripplebauer and his wife Keesha of Coal Township; a grandson Joel Galbraith; three sisters, Patricia Thompson and her husband Kenneth of Newark, Delaware, Ellen Sage of Ranshaw and Mary Cothlan and her husband James of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son Joseph J. Kripplebauer, III and a sister Ruth Ann Lubinski.
Religious services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Rose Marquardt and Rev. Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market St. Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Mt. Carmel Fire Police, 301 South Oak St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851.
