Kathryn Eileen Roney

Kathryn Eileen Roney, 69, of 328 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Friday January 11th, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Locust Dale on December 22, 1949 she was a daughter of the late Cormac J. and Leanore (Heiser) Manley.

She attended Mt. Carmel Area Schools.

On February 19, 1966 in the former Our Mother of Consolation Church in Mt. Carmel she married the love of her life, Chester E. Roney who preceded her in death on August 24, 2014.

Kathryn worked alongside her husband for many years as a hostess for C&R VIP Inc. until her retirement. She was an avid reader.

Surviving are her three daughters Rhonda Timmins and her companion Leonard Zlocki of Marion Heights, Kathleen deManincor and her husband Jason of Mt. Carmel with whom she resided and Christine Roney of Mt. Carmel, two sons, Michael Roney of Mt. Carmel and Mark Roney and his wife Marcia of Dupont, five grandchildren, Jason Marinelli, Antonia Timmins, Kaleb Roney and Emily and Nicholas deManincor; four great grandchildren, Cole Lupatsky, Benjamin and Bridget Johnson and Jalissa Marinelli; two sisters, Sandra Giorgini and her husband Emanuel of Kulpmont and Ann Moyer of Klingerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the Mt. Carmel Public Library, 30 South Oak Street, Mt.
