Marian Repella

Marian Repella, 81 of Mount Carmel passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Mount Carmel on June 9, 1944, the daughter and youngest child of the late Peter and Mary (Chupak) Repella. She was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel.

Marian was a 1962 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and also graduated from Empire Beauty School.

She was a self-employed beautician having formerly owned and operated her shop in Shamokin. Later in retirement, she continued in her profession for residents of the Shamokin High Rise Apartments on Sunbury Street.

Marian was a devout member of SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mount Carmel where she was crowned May Queen in her younger days. She was also a member of SS Peter and Paul Altar Rosary Society. She worked at the annual parish picnics and volunteered making pierogies.

She is survived by one brother, Peter Repella and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Michael, Nicholas and Stephen Repella; two sisters, Anna Sweet and Helen Hughes; and her special companion of thirty-four years, William Sienkiewicz.

Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mount Carmel with Rev. Paul Spotts officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery in Mount Township. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J.
