Mary R. Gilbert

Mary R. Gilbert, 61 of 301 West Fourth Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Broad Mountain Nursing Home in Frackville.

Born in Mt. Carmel on October 6, 1957 she was a daughter of the late Bert and Emily (Solop) Hornberger.

Mary had been employed as a waitress.

She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

Surviving are her son, Barry McGurl and his companion Caitlin DiGiovanni of Ashland; her grandson, Brayden McGurl; one brother, Paul Hornberger and his wife Carol of Aristes; two sisters, Rita Hornberger of Mt. Carmel and Jean Cordell; nieces and nephews.

Religious services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 8:00 pm at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Joan A. Brown officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
