Pearl (Hashuga) Petrovicz, 95 formerly of Kulpmont passed away on Thursday morning, July 23, 2026 at the Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.
Born in Excelsior on March 8, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Mallish) Hashuga.
She was a 1949 graduate of the former Coal Township High School.
On June 7, 1969, she married Vendel Petrovicz who preceded her in death in 2004.
She retired from the former Paper Magic Group, Elysburg. Prior to that, she was employed in the cutting room at the former Arrow Shirt Factory in Shamokin and Elysburg.
Pearl was a member of Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont.
She was a homemaker who truly loved her family. She cherished the time they spent together, especially during the holidays and family celebrations. Pearl was a diehard Philadelphia Phillies fan, remaining loyal to her team through both triumph and defeat.
Pearl was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceding her in death in addition to her parents and her husband were her eighteen brothers and sisters.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews with their families, including her nephew and caregiver, Thomas J. Poremba of Mount Gretna.
Graveside interment services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 11:00 am in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township with Rev. Andrew J. Stahmer officiating.
