Rena M. O'Gara

Rena M. O’Gara, 75 of 141 Washington Drive Kulpmont passed away on Monday, March 21,2022 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Shamokin on November 21,1946, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Shicowich) Zosh.

She was a 1964 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

On September 22,1973 in the former St. Casmir’s Church in Kulpmont she married William F. O’Gara who survives.

Rena is a retired from the State of Pennsylvania where she was employed as a clerk.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and going to their sporting events. She also enjoyed her trips to the casino and was a New York Yankee and Mt. Carmel Area Red Tornado fan.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Ashley Brokenshire and her husband Wayne of Kulpmont and Brooke O’Gara of Kulpmont; two grandsons, Aidan and Austin Brokenshire and one brother, Frank “Pud” Zosh of Coal Township.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as celebrant. A visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor.
