Reynold J. Scicchitano, 75 of 291 Missouri Lane, Den-Mar Gardens passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Ashland on December 29, 1947, he was the son of the late Elmer and Caroline (Tamanini) Scicchitano.
He was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School.
Reynold served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1967 until 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
On July 24, 1993 he married the love of his life Patricia (Pinamonti) Scicchitano who survives.
He retired from Danville State Hospital.
He was a member of Holy Angels Church in Kulpmont and the Atlas Fire Company.
Reynold served two terms as a Mt. Carmel Township Supervisor.
Reynold enjoyed playing Fast Pitch Softball. He played for various local teams. He also enjoyed shooting pool. Reynold was an avid MCA football fan. Reynold also helped start the Kulpmont Cruise along with Joe Cesari.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four sisters, Noreen Sienkiewicz and her husband James of Den-Mar Gardens; Bonnie deMello and her husband James of Wesley Chapel, FL; Cheryl Scicchitano and her companion Keith Yeager of Atlas; Elaine Bartol and her husband Joseph of Den-Mar Gardens; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Podobinski and her husband David of Marion Heights and Ann Payonk and her husband John of Schwenksville; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Viola (Nestico) Pinamonti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont with the Rev. Andrew Stamer, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Holy Angels Church, 855 Scott Street Kulpmont, PA 17834 or St. Pauline Visintainer Center, 1150 Chestnut Street Kulpmont, PA 17834.
