Roberta "Robbie" "Birdie" Timmins, 87, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, April 29, 2026 at Ridgeview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights.
Born on February 16, 1939 in her great-grandmothers home on Arlington Street in Shenandoah, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Alma (Denchy) Harbachewski, Shenandoah.
She was a 1957 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
On November 2, 1956, Roberta married Glenn and had four children. They were married 65 years before Glenn passed away on December 24, 2021.
She was a member of Divine Redeemer Church in Mount Carmel.
Roberta was primarily a homemaker but also assisted her husband Glenn in his various businesses from Glenn's Bar to Glenn's Contracting.
She enjoyed cooking and sewing when she was younger and even sewed some gowns for a wedding. She was very creative and loved to draw. She and Glenn loved Christmas Eve and had a big gathering every year with family, friends and neighbors. Everyone was welcome. Her most favorite things (beyond her children) were going to bingo, taking the bus to Atlantic City, The Price is Right, and Diet Pepsi, having once said "Diet Pepsi brings me back to life".
Roberta is survived by her eldest son, Michael and his wife Abby of Mount Carmel; son, Glenn of Mount Carmel; daughter, Marla and her fiancé Paul of Bloomsburg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Carl and his wife Marguerite and their son Nick of Annapolis, MD.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Brzostowski, Mount Carmel.
Private religious services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights with Rev. Paul Spotts officiating. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervisor has been entrusted with the arrangements.
