Rosemarie A. Zvirblis

Rosemarie A. Zvirblis, 93 of 326 South Poplar Street, Mt. Carmel, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Rosemarie was born on January 12, 1932 in Kulpmont and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Barrett) Chango.

She was a 1950 graduate of the former Kulpmont High School.

Rosemarie was married on August 28th, 1954 in St. Mary’s Church in Kulpmont to John E. Zvirblis who preceded her in death on March 21, 1995.

Rosemarie had been employed in several local garment factories and then became a homemaker, even taking care of her grandchildren until age 85.

She enjoyed ceramics, cooking, cake decorating and most of all saying the Rosary every day.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Loftus and Carol Matzura both of Mt. Carmel; four grandchildren, Mallory, Christopher, Lucas and Molly; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Magnolia and Liam; one sister, Angelina Rodak of Levittown; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Slabtown with the Rev. Martin O. Moran, III, Administrator as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:30 am until 12:45 pm at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc.
