Samuel Mychak Jr.

Samuel Mychak Jr. died on the 23rd of September, 2026 at his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at the age of 73.

Sam was born on the 21st of April, 1953 to Samuel Mychak Sr. and Irene (Faleski) Mychak.

He graduated from Mt. Carmel Area High School and Gettysburg College. After earning his law degree from the University of Detroit, Sam owned his own personal injury law firm in Philadelphia.

Before retiring Sam split his time between his homes in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and Brigantine, New Jersey.

Sam was a confirmed bachelor who lived life totally on his own terms. With malice toward none, Sam did what he wanted to when and where he wanted to do it. He traveled extensively before and after retiring, as well as coming to Mt. Carmel to visit family, friends, and attend Tornado football games. Sam was rarely without the company of one of his large dogs. Lucky, his first dog was a Great Dane/Boxer mix. Several additional dogs followed Lucky most notably, a 130 lb. Shiloh Shepherd named McCain and Doggie, a gigantic 170 lb. Cane Corso.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest brother, Dennis Mychak MD and wife Shirley.

Sam is survived by his brother Michael Mychak and his sister Karen Mychak Gaughan. He is also survived by his nieces, Pamela Scull, Tanyia Montgomery, Natalie Belfanti, Kelly Griffin PhD., Dana Jones, Ashley Mychak DPM, and nephews, Adam Mychak DMD, Nathan Mychak PA-C, Colin Mychak DO, and Aaron George DO.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of Sam's family.
