Sandra Dormer of 239 West Fifth Street, Mount Carmel, loving wife and mother, left her body to be with the Lord in her home on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the age of 63.
Born in the former Ashland State Hospital on December 31, 1961, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Emily (Brassington) Matsko.
Sandra was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
She was a hard worker all her life. Sandra retired from Danville State Hospital where she worked in the dietary department.
On September 23, 1995 in Mount Carmel, she married Edward Dormer who survives.
She was a member of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene.
Sandra loved spending time with her family, walking her dog and camping. She also enjoyed basket raffles and going to the market on Saturdays with her son. Sandra had a love of animals; she never passed by a dog without petting it. Sandra was very passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles and her gnomes. She had a big heart and loved everyone.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two sisters, Ruth Knerr and Barbara Bova; one brother, George Matsko, and a nephew, John Bova.
Surviving in addition to her beloved husband, Edward Dormer are two sons, Aaron O'Neill and Edward J. Dormer; her dog, “Ozzy”, sister, Donna Kline; nieces, Rose Marie Stravinsky, Dawn Kissinger and Amanda Kline; nephews, Charles Derr Jr. and James Kline; three sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law.
