Sarina Schell

Sarina Schell, 78 of 9 Tea House Lane, Brewster, New York passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in her home.    

Born in Isca Sullo Ionio, Italy on March 28, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Varano) Raynal.    

She was a graduate of Catholic High School in Mt. Carmel, Class of 1964 and a 1966 graduate of the Philadelphia General Hospital.

She was a retired Registered X-Ray Technologist.

Sarina married Ron Schell on September 6, 1969.

She was a member of St. Mary of Mills Church.

Sarina loved her family.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.  She crocheted and knitted beautiful sweater sets and blankets that were enjoyed by many family members.  She loved her Italian heritage and shared many stories of her memories from her town.  She also enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel and classic movies, especially with her family.  Sarina loved and walked with the Lord until the day she was freed from all her ailments. 

Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Clancy and her husband Vincent; her most treasured grandchildren, Nicolas, Genevieve, and Arianna; two sisters, Gabriella Lacroce and Gilda Brinkach; and nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were three sisters, Josephine Feudale, Ellen Mattis, and Rose Nemeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with the Very Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kulpmont.  A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until 10:45 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J.
