Stanley G. David

Stanley G. David, 72, of Gainesville, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in his home.

Born in Ashland, PA on March 16, 1954, he was the son of the late Stanley and Enid O. (Learn) David.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Penn State University and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Vanderbilt University.

Stanley served his country in the United States Navy and concluded with the Tennessee National Guard.

He was of the Ukrainian Catholic faith.

Stanley enjoyed traveling, watching movies and trying new restaurants. He had a lifelong fascination with aviation and space, and he was always intrigued by new innovations in technology. When he was not working, he could often be found tinkering around the house or working on small projects. Above all, Stanley cherished his family and treasured the time they spent together; they were of most importance to him.

Surviving are his daughter, Adrienne David of Erie, PA; and his son, Ryan David of Keystone Heights, FL.

Divine Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1408 Main Street, Maizeville (Gilberton), PA with the Rev. Petro Zvarych, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J.
