Thomas J. Hirsch

Thomas J. Hirsch 90, formerly of Mt. Carmel passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danville.

Born on July 1, 1929 he was a son of the late Edward and Mary Hirsch.
Thomas attended Mt. Carmel schools.

He was married to Lorraine (Karlovich) Hirsch who preceded him in death in 1998.

He was a retired coal miner.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.

Surviving are one daughter, Therese Chubb and her husband Russell of Mt. Carmel; one son, Vincent Hirsch of Mt. Carmel; three sisters, Lorraine Chicalo of Paxinos, Sister Marie Therese Hirsch IHM of Philadelphia, Eleanor Moyer of Elysburg; one brother, John Hirsch of Mt. Carmel; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were one son, Edward Hirsch who died on August 3, 2019; and two brothers, Aloysius and Leonard Hirsch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Camel, Joseph J. Stutz, III has been entrusted with arrangements.
