Wanda Chapman , 61 of 1341 West Arch Street Coal Township passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 4, 2026 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.
Born in Ashland on September 29, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Dean Fetterolf and Kay (Tobias) Harter who survives.
She was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School and the McCann School of Business.
On November 9, 1985, in Shamokin she married David Chapman who survives.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel.
Wanda enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, crafting, creating holiday extravaganzas for all to enjoy, cheering on her Eagles, and spending time with her grandbabies, especially poolside. She loved flowers and plants of all kinds. Her beloved Queen Ann was a spectacle to see decorated for Halloween, rivaled only by how beautifully she made it for Christmas. Nestled in between was Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday, one she ensured was integral to the Chapman family. More than anything, though, her favorite thing was being a mother to her three loving boys and their families, and a wife to David.
In addition to her Mother and Husband surviving are three sons, Nicholas Chapman and his wife Alyssa and their daughter Natalie, Justin Chapman and his wife Megan and their daughter Rosemary, Jared Chapman and his wife Yasmine, their son Maurizio and soon to be youngest grandson Vincent due this coming January; A sister Denise Brown and her children Dallas, Scarlett and Jack; Stepmother Fay Fetterolf; Stepsister Jonna Reigle and her son Gatlin; stepbrother Warren and his children Savannah and Chevy.
Services will be strictly private and for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers Wanda’s family would like everyone to plant a tree or flowers in her memory. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor is entrusted with arrangements. To leave a condolence to the family please visit www.stutzfuneralhome.com
