Obituary for John M. Gasperetti
John M. Gasperetti, 59, of Locust Gap passed away on January 7. 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Known as Jack to many - or the Italian Stallion, or Hollywood, or Action Jackson - he will be incredibly missed by those who loved and tolerated him.

Born on April 22, 1962 in Ashland, PA to the late Charles and Lucy Gasperetti of Locust Gap, he was one half of the mischievous duo referred to as the Twinners. His brother James "Jim" Gasperetti resides in Mount Carmel and the debate over the better looking twin has not yet been settled....

Jack was a music man and tried for years to play the guitar and sing. Sometimes he even succeeded. Some of his favorites included Neil Young, Willie Nelson, John Prine and The Eagles.

Jack was a 1980 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School and was currently employed as a professional truck driver for International Paper. He had been married to the love of his life Jean Marie (Swantner) for nearly forty years. Together they raised four really good looking children, Rachael Maust of Elizabethtown, Jack Gasperetti of Elysburg, Nikki Gasperetti of Columbia, and Tyler Gasperetti of Kulpmont, who all inherited his questionable sense of humor and unwavering love of family.

As a lifelong Gapper, Jack was a member of the Locust Gap Fire Company as well as numerous other clubs and local organizations.

In addition to his wife, children and twin brother, Jack leaves behind his three adoring grandchildren, Sophia, Jackson, and Emelia; daughter-in-law Noelle; grand-dogs, Louie, Willow, and Benni; sisters, Anne Klingerman and Maureen Brinkash both of Locust Gap; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Ronald Swantner of Saint Clair; and his best buddy Joe Shannon also of Locust Gap. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, in-laws and outlaws, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Gasperetti, and his favorite son-in-law, Jonathan Maust.

Although Jack left us too soon, memories of this handsome devil will be with us forever.

Religious services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor.
