Obituary for Joseph A. Bozza
MOUNT CARMEL — Joseph A. Bozza, 64, of 122 S. Hickory St., Mount Carmel, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born May 6, 1952, in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Bronkoski) Bozza. He attended Mount Carmel schools.
Joseph had been employed as a shipper at the former Catawissa Lumber Co.,
On Dec. 21, 1983, in Mount Carmel, he married Alexis (Danilowicz) Bozza, who survives.
Joe was of the Catholic faith. He was a great musician and enjoyed playing in area bands for many years. He also loved all of his animals.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn Bozza and his wife, Melissa, of Paxinos, and Richard Bozza and his wife, Nicole, of Shamokin; a daughter, Jennifer Bozza, and her fiancé, David Berry, of Mount Carmel; four grandchildren, Kortney, Gabriella, Collin and Kymber; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David Bozza and his wife, Sherry, of Marion Heights, and Nicholas Bozza and his wife, Linda, of Kulpmont; a sister, Annette Staskiel and her husband, Charles, of Kulpmont; his mother-in-law, Mary J. Rynkiewicz, of Mount Carmel; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Blake and Hayley.

BOZZA — Joseph A. Bozza, 64, of 122 S. Hickory St., Mount Carmel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer as celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass in the church. The Joseph J. Stutz Funeral Home Inc., 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, supervisor, is in charge of arrangements.
