Obituary for Stella B. Brosokas
Stella B. Brosokas, 94 of 152 Missouri Lane, Den-Mar Gardens passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family.
Born in Centralia on June 6, 1923 daughter of the late Alexander and Blanche Dembkowski.
She attended Centralia schools.
Stella was a retired seamstress and had been employed in area garment factories.
On March 2, 1946 in the former St. Ignatius Church in Centralia she married Frank C. Brosokas who preceded her in death on February 28, 2005.
Stella was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mt. Carmel, the Centralia American Legion Post #628 Auxiliary, Mt. Carmel Knight of Columbus Council #628 Auxiliary and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Stella enjoyed her retirement. She liked to take bus trips to see Broadway shows and loved to cook.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Frances McManiman and her husband Robert of Harrisburg, Patricia Kimsal and her husband Leonard of Den-Mar Gardens, Christina “Tina” Bucher and her husband Barry with whom she resided; four grandchildren, Kimberly Douglas and her husband Tim of San Jose, California, Lenny Kimsal and his wife Brooke of Kulpmont, Brandon Bucher and his wife Jayme of Middleburg and Matthew Bucher and his wife April of New Market, Maryland and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Stella was preceded in death by one son, Robert Francis “Cat” Brosokas on February 5, 2017, five brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday April 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Divine Redeemer Church, Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Martin O. Moran as celebrant. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 am until 11:15 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market St., Mt. Carmel.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Divine Redeemer Church, 438 West Avenue Mt. Carmel, PA 17851.
