Obituary for Rose Marie Lombardo
MOUNT CARMEL — Rose Marie Lombardo, 87, of 315 S. Hickory St., Mount Carmel, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, in Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township.
She was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Atlas, a daughter of the late Edwin and Julia (Dallavalle) Sotopietra.
She graduated from Catholic High in Mount Carmel in 1946 and worked in garment factories until she retired.
On April 10, 1950, in St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel, she married Augustine S. Lombardo, who preceded her in death Nov. 9, 1982.
She is survived by a daughter, Juliann Neilson and her husband, Thomas, of Jacksonville, Florida; two sons, Vincent Lombardo and his wife, Jamie, of Camp Hill, and Edwin Lombardo and his wife, Theresa, of Grantville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Enrica Richard.

Martin Moran III officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. Viewing will be held from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor. A guestbook can be signed at www.stutzfuneralhome.com.
