Obituary for Anthony D. Yuskalis

Anthony D. Yuskalis, 75 of 225 South Poplar Street, Mount Carmel passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.

Born on March 30, 1945 at the Shamokin Hospital, he was the son of the late Anthony and Helen (Baran) Yuskalis.

He attended Mount Carmel Catholic Schools and the McCann School of Business.

Mr. Yuskalis enlisted in the Army in 1963 and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1966.

On August 23, 1975 he married the former Nancy Tocyloski who survives.

He was an auditor for the Pennsylvania State Treasury Department until his retirement in 2007.

Anthony was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was a former treasurer of the Atlas American Legion Post 804.

He was an avid golfer, having scored four hole-in-ones at Three Ponds Golf Course. He loved Green Bay Packers football, Notre Dame football and the Atlanta Braves. He was also a converted Southern Columbia sports fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years, Nancy Yuskalis are his son, Brian Yuskalis and his fiancé Jocelyn; daughters, Pamela Yancoskie and her husband Robert and Kimberly Britton and her husband Laramy; grandchildren, Anthony and Aaron Yuskalis, Michael, Joey and Anna Yancoskie and Dawna, William and Laramy Britton, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were an infant son, Anthony Yuskalis; sister, Virginia Covas; brother-in-law, Joseph Covas and sisters-in-law, Annette, Mary Lou, Rita and Joan.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with interment to follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Anthony’s name to Family Home Medical Hospice, 50 South Oak Street, Mount Carmel, PA 17851. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc.
