Obituary for Charles Lupatsky Sr.
ATLAS — Charles Lupatsky Sr., 68, of 151 E. Saylor St., died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in Ashland State Hospital, Jan. 9, 1948, a son of the late Alex Lupatsky Sr. and Catherine I. (Grady) Lupatsky. He attended Centralia schools. Charles was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1964 to 1967. On Jan. 15, 1972, in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Centralia, he married Pamela (Ramsdale) Lupatsky, who survives. Charles was a retired laborer who worked in area production factories. He was a member of Centralia American Legion Post 608 in Wilburton No. 2. Charles always enjoyed the time he spent with his family. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Charles Lupatsky Jr. and his wife, Gina; two grandchildren, Sarah and Kaitlyn Lupatsky; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Lupatsky, and three brothers, Alex Lupatsky Jr., Michael Lupatsky Sr. and George Lupatsky. LUPATSKY — Charles Lupatsky Sr., 68, of 151 E. Saylor St., Atlas. A religious funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor, with the Rev. Francis Karwacki officiating. Burial will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Centralia. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society , 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, 17701.
