Obituary for Joseph T. McGinley
Joseph T. McGinley, 85 of 113 Kansas Lane Kulpmont, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Centralia on February 18,1936, he was the son of the late Patrick and Helen (Ewasheko) McGinley.
He attended Centralia schools.
He was married on October 13, 1956 in Our Mother of Consolation Church, Mt. Carmel to Dolores A. (Petrosky) McGinley who preceded him in death on September 28, 2015.
Joseph was retired after working for many years for the Dana Corporation in Reading as a supervisor.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Knights of Columbus Council #628 and the Clover Hose Fire Company all of Mt. Carmel.
Joseph was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are one daughter, Helen Marie Miernicki of Frackville; one son, Charles McGinley of Mt. Carmel; two grandsons, Douglas Miernicki of Kulpmont and Peter A. Miernicki of Philadelphia, three great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph T. McGinley, Jr.; one sister and five brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until 10:45 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 47 South Market Street, Mt.
